Alastair Morrison OBE MC

Chairman

Alastair's illustrious career began in the military where he served in the Scots Guards and as Equerry to HRH The Duke of Gloucester before joining the SAS, serving as Troop and Squadron Commander before being appointed Second in Command of 22 SAS. He was awarded the Military Cross during the war in Dhofar, Oman and was also appointed OBE for his part in the successful hostage rescue operation of passengers held on board a Lufthansa aircraft at Mogadishu, Somalia in 1977. Following this operation, on behalf of the British Government, Alastair helped to set up counter-terrorist forces in 32 countries - including Delta Force in the USA.

After leaving the Army, he formed Defence Systems Limited in 1981, an early pioneer of specialist security services in remote and hostile locations. He sold the company in 1997 to Armor Holdings (which became ArmorGroup). Alastair has since been involved in several other companies including Kroll Security International, where he was Chairman until late 2006.
