Defensive Driver Training course accredited by RoSPA
Exlogs Driver Training has had its Defensive Driver Training course accredited by the
Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). This independent assessment endorses the
best practise that Exlogs Driver Training has developed through its extensive international
experience and is a prestigious indication of quality.
RoSPA's Head of Training, Rick Wood, travelled to Tunisia to observe instructor David
Bertie delivering training to employees, family members and contractors working for BG Tunisia.
In general, Tunisia has a poor road safety record and the local driving culture needs substantial
development to encourage, amongst other things, the use of seatbelts.
Mr Wood observed the pre drive presentation, car and eyesight checks, delegate assessments,
demonstration drive, delegate training, driver feedback and handouts. He particularly commented on
the excellent demonstration drive that was used to agree training objectives with the delegates and
the very high standard of in car training that was provided.
He concluded "The course format, content and delivery is effective in delivering training that
will reduce the risk of causing or being involved in a road collision." These findings have been
substantiated by BG Tunisia's fall in collision rates, despite the increase in drivers and fleet size,
since Exlogs Driver Training started training both their drivers and driving instructors.
