Despite more than 16 years employed as a driving instructor with Exploration
Logistics, surprisingly in his time off, Howard likes nothing better than to head
back out on the open road, munching the miles in his motor caravan, which has
accompanied him all over the UK as well as through large swathes of Europe.
It doesn't require any specialist driving techniques.
Having now visited 42 countries through both work and play, Howard has an
immense volume of both theoretical and practical driving experience which
includes all aspects of transport management and transport safety systems as
and well as on and off road driving, HGV and Forklift driving and defensive
driving.
An enthusiastic member of the British Sub Aqua Club with whom he's completed
more than 200 underwater excursions, Howard is always keen for an assignment
in any part of the world with clear water, remote reefs and the opportunity to
mix with the local marine life.

Roger likes nothing more than to get himself off-road and into a bit of deep
water, sailing or cranking up the pace on a jet ski when he can seize the
opportunity. Not surprisingly he's also keen to detour off the beaten track and
enjoys a fair amount of off-road driving even in is his spare time. Other than
that, when not discussing how to manage a steep descent or other treacherous
conditions, Roger's excellent analytical skills and managerial ability are
applied vigorously to activities such as going on holiday, DIY and watching sport.
A Qualified Testing Officer in all categories and working in the field of
driving excellence for more than 30 years, Roger has extensive experience of
cross country, off road and defensive driving courses, as well as transport
safety audits and dangerous cargo reviews.
He says, "One of the best parts of the job is that wherever I go, local
people are really receptive about learning as much as they can about the
correct methods of driving - be it in the Sahara desert, the middle of Moscow
or the mountains of Iran. Even after 30 years, every day is different. It's
a really rewarding job that I'd recommend to anyone."

Steve Brown's interest in driving started when he was just a lad as a keen
kart racer, following in the footsteps of his father who raced in a Saab
sponsored team with the RAF. Later on, during his own military career, Steve
subsequently raced in the army Motocross team and also competed in Enduro,
the long distance equivalent.
With a long haul driving career, Steve trained as a
vehicle specialist in the British Army before joining the Defence School of
Transport, where he became an instructor and assessor. He then moved on to
take responsibility for personnel security and teaching security and off
road driving skills in Iraq.
"After a couple of years working in some of the most demanding security
conditions, pretty much nothing will phase you," confirms Steve who
particularly enjoys the variety in terms of people, place and culture that
his work delivers.
If he's not on the road you might find Steve on a runway - most likely
the runway of the local aerodrome, exercising his distinctive remote
controlled WWII shark-faced fighter plane, a P 40 Flying Tiger that he
finished building last year.

As a keen cross country motorcyclist who led his team to 2nd place in the
Army Motorcycling Championships of 2002, there's no surprise that Martin
Doyle jumped at the chance to get to grips with a Quad Bike teaching
assignment for an Egypt-based client shortly after joining Exploration
Logistics. Although now retired from competitive racing he still enjoys
off-road motorcycling and driving whenever there's an opportunity.
After a 22 year career in the British Army with more than 15 years in
military transport and training, there are very few vehicles or driving
challenges that Martin hasn't mastered. He has worked as both instructor
and examiner for cars, trucks and motorcycles, armoured and track vehicles,
rough terrain forklifts and dangerous goods vehicles - on and off the road
in all terrains and climates. Hugely experienced in managing risk
assessment for both operational tasks as well as training, Martin received a
Ministry of Defence commendation for his contributions to road safety.
When not in or on a vehicle, Martin enjoys DIY and traveling. His work
overseas with Exploration Logistics has given him the opportunity to brush
up on his Arabic as well as his musical skills. If you are lucky enough to
be working with Martin in the desert, the one positive side to his tin
whistle playing is that it does keep the wildlife well off site.
