Countries in
which Exlogs Driver Training has worked
Georgia
Exploration Logistics' Driving Instructor was tasked with providing
Articulated Dump Truck Operator Training to experienced operators,
for our client in Georgia.
It was agreed that the Instructor should evaluate the standard of the
operators to enable him to structure the training to suit their needs. Before
the course began our Instructor met with the client to discuss the observations
and the training programme.
The courses were extremely well received. All students attending showed
enthusiasm and a genuine desire to improve their driving which made the courses
a pleasure to conduct. The operators will need to maintain the standard they have
reached to ensure safe operation in the future.
Libya
A total of nine personnel attended the theory and practical phases of the
Defensive Driver Training programme delivered for our oil client in Libya.
The Instructor gave a demonstration on how to carry out a daily vehicle
inspection, which was followed with three students at a time being taken
out for half a day practical training in the city of Tripoli.
All personnel attending the driver training did so with enthusiasm.
All were aware of the importance of the training, which made the Instructor's
job much easier. Our Driving Instructor believed that all drivers gained
valuable driving skills that will reduce the chance of them being involved
in an accident.
Libya
Our driver training instructors provided Defensive Driver Training for six seismic employees
in Tripoli and Desert Driver Training for 22 personnel in the field, plus LGV
(Large Goods Vehicle) driver assessments for four truck drivers.
Libya
Our oil company client initially required Defensive Driver Training for a group
of 22 local and expatriate employees in Tripoli. A second visit was made
to provide Advanced Defensive Driver Training for seven personnel, further Defensive
Driver Training in Tripoli for 20 personnel and Desert Driver Training for
16 personnel in the field.
Iran
We provided driver training to our client's worldwide operations at various bases.
One particular project involved 20 personnel at two sites in Iran for Defensive
Driver Training. Training was also undertaken for our client's staff in the UK.
Algeria
Sixteen personnel were required to receive tri-directional lift truck training at
an international exploration company's site in Algeria. This course is based on the UK Road Transport Industry
Training Board and consists of classroom theory sessions followed by practical sessions
in a safe but realistic working environment.
Tunisia
Initially our Driving Instructors spent some time assessing driving for a gas company in Tunis
and the driving culture in Sfax, which enabled them to identify particular areas on which to
focus the course. Following this assessment the instructors delivered a Defensive
Driver Training course for seven candidates working in both Tunis and Sfax, who were
screened prior to our Instructors' arrival to ensure they met Exlogs Driver Training
criteria to become trainers. After the completion of the training our instructors
delivered Defensive Driver Training to 24 company professional drivers (ie bus,
minibus, chauffeurs).
Egypt
Exlogs Driver Training was initially brought in to provide Occupational
Training (LGV - Light Goods Vehicle) to Halliburton employees with emphasis being placed on
safety awareness. The training was extended to
include third party contractors and incorporated light vehicle defensive
driving courses.
Azerbaijan
Driver training that included both
theoretical and practical sessions covering vehicle checks,
driving skills and driving awareness, was provided to support
our client's operations.
Mauritania
In support of our client's overall operations,
defensive and off-road driver training was required for
personnel working in desert conditions.
Middle East
This was a comprehensive programme, for 800 expatriate
and local personnel, utilising the client's light
4x4 and heavy specialist oilfield vehicles. Vehicle-related accident performance has shown marked
improvements since the implementation of this programme.
Turkey
Exlogs Driver Training provided theory and off-road
techniques for field personnel working on ungraded roads and in
difficult terrain.
