HSE Projects

Oman

Exploration Logistics has been providing the services of an experienced HSE Advisor for our client's seismic project in Oman. The HSE Advisor has been covering normal HSE responsibilities for land-based seismic activities. This includes maintaining contractor's compliance with OGP/IAGC and the client's own guidance, preparation of reports, safety meetings and worksite supervision.

Libya

The requirement for this project in Libya was for an experienced seismic HSE supervisor. Generally HSE supervisors cover normal HSE QC duties for land-based seismic activities including, but not limited to, ensuring contractors' compliance with company and industry guidelines, preparation of reports, attending safety meetings, incident reporting and investigation, and worksite inspections.

Algeria

As a result of our HSE supervision to our client's local contractors, three million man-hours without lost time incident were recorded.

Libya

Our client requested the support of experienced drilling HSE supervisors to oversee their exploratory drilling activities in the Libyan Desert. They were required to ensure that contract requirements and industry best practices were observed at all times. The supervisors were also there to oversee peripheral activities related to the project such as access roads, etc.

China

Exploration Logistics was tasked to provide an advisor to help to promote HSE practices on a local Chinese seismic crew in the Tarim Basin. Safe working practices were established, particularly in the use and transportation of explosives, and a greater awareness of environmental responsibilities was developed. This challenging task was instrumental in ensuring that, despite the climatic conditions, the crew completed their project safely.

Germany

Long term HSE support was provided to our client involving regular audits of the crew, chairing safety meetings and working with the seismic contractor to establish safe operating procedures.

Siberia

Due to the extreme remoteness of the exploration programme, a health and safety advisor was appointed to assist the geologists in their work. This involved assistance in procuring equipment, establishing movement plans and providing on-site safety and survival support in temperatures down to -40°C.

Venezuela

We provided HSE assessments and audits on a seismic operation in a transitional zone. This involved identifying areas of concern and implementing solutions for small boat operations.
