Mike Jaques

Chief Executive

Mike founded the company in 1986 and has been the Chief Executive for Exploration Logistics Group ever since its inception. As Chief Executive he is responsible for the strategic management and development of the organisation. He has a particular interest in MineTech, having been instrumental in its integration into the Group. He also retains an active involvement with the mountaineering support.

Mike's early career spanned a period with the Merchant Navy, mountaineer/guide with the British Antarctic Survey, and a spell as a mountaineering instructor. This convinced him that there was a niche to provide expertise to organisations working in areas far from any recognised infrastructure. Mike's vision and appreciation of the difficulties faced in the field has helped Exploration Logistics Group to become one of the best-known organisations supporting companies working in remote locations. Mike has developed a well-tuned team that are proactive in problem prevention and operate with watertight procedures.
